The charming town of Revelstoke is
located midway between Vancouver and Calgary at the western gateway
to Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier and Mt. Revelstoke National
Parks. Just minutes from the world’s finest mountain adventure,
natural hot springs, glacial hikes, alpine meadows of wildflowers,
world-class mountain biking, powder skiing and natural pristine wilderness
beauty.
The township is nestled on the shores of the mighty Columbia River
and boasts pristine valley views. Summer and winter activities are
endless and include fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing, ATVing, white
water rafting, caving, kayaking, swimming and more.
In the winter, Revelstoke is infamous for it’s backcountry
skiing and Cat Powder access is home to Canada’s newest ski resort - Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
The resort which opened December 2007 is the realization of a long line of dreams; it took 20+ years and several attempts to finally get
steel on the mountain. For years, people have been spending mega-bucks to come to Revelstoke to enjoy heli and cat skiing and now, this
absolute gem of an area is open for all to enjoy. With an average of 40 to 60 feet of snow annually, challenging treed runs,
powdery open bowls and steep chutes, Revy is the place to visit for world class skiing or boarding.
Snowmobiling is also extremely popular in the Revelstoke area as the trails are long and the snow is deep. We can hook you up with operators
in the area who will be happy to take you out for an hour or a day to experience this true Canadian past time. |
